Important update: Pricing and Discord changes
Playing long-term games with long-term people...
It has been nearly a year since we launched this newsletter. I originally started this at the request of a few close friends, and reflecting on the experience, it has been a fantastic journey.
I have written nearly 100 articles covering compelling companies and themes, met many interesting people, and, most importantly, generated solid returns along the way. 2025 saw a +57% return, following +61% in 2024 and 94% in 2023. The 8-year CAGR currently stands at >40%.
My Investment Style
My approach is straightforward: I am a long-term net buyer of stocks, but I always look to buy on maximum fear and sell during times of complacency or greed. My primary goal is growing the portfolio, and trading around a core position helps me keep exposure at a level I am comfortable with.
I also maintain a separate taxable trading account, approximately 10% the size of my main investing accounts, for taking opportunistic equity trades as they arise.
Upcoming Changes
However, adding Discord to the service has made this a much more time-intensive endeavour. Fielding interactions, questions, and chart requests requires significant effort. After performing a cost-benefit analysis, I have to consider the impact this has on my own trading, which surpasses the revenue generated by the newsletter. Because I want to play long-term games with long-term people, I have decided on the following three things:
The monthly cost will increase by 25% either in one month or after a specific number of new members join. If you are already a monthly subscriber, this will not impact you unless you unsubscribe and later rejoin.
The annual price will remain the same. I prefer to play long-term games with long-term people, and this structure ensures we are better aligned.
The Discord will eventually become exclusive to annual members once a certain headcount is reached. This is to ensure neither of us are wasting our times. (Current members will be grandfathered in)

On a side note, I noticed that email open rates are slightly down. As a quick reminder, my last two posts (see below) from yesterday and the day before generated +200% and +50% returns. That isn’t the overall performance; those were the returns in just two days. It might be worth giving them a read next time next time?!
