I have initiated a position in LLY at $891 in my investment account for a long-term hold. I will build over time in tranches.
Eli Lilly and Co. is a global pharmaceutical giant known for leading treatments in diabetes, weight loss, and oncology. They possess superior clinical data on core products and an extended patent protection, which secures a strong position in metabolic health. Their pipeline remains very robust and I believe as a US-centric company, they maintain a clear strategic advantage.
As of March 2026, Eli Lilly (LLY) and Novo Nordisk (NVO) each have four major drug programs that have demonstrated the 20% or greater average weight loss in clinical trials. However, Retatrutide is likely to be a blockbuster launch.
Fundamental Snapshot is below. It is not a cheap stock and thus I would not mind seeing it in the low 700’s to fill the position.

Will see if wants low 700's or is just stabilises here before adding more down the line.
In this one with you, wanted some GLP-1 exposure. I think AI drug discovery is a 12 month theme we’ll start hearing more on too, and LLY is well placed to capitalize there.
