good post. i think dynamic position sizing based on r/r is critical for active investors looking to outperform. buy and hold is OK... but then might as well index
I totally agree. Buy and hold is fantastic for that rare stock that just mechanically goes up but the reality is most stocks are volatile and the delta on a given year between the high and low can be >50% even on a large cap. Thus, I like to be a bit more active with trimming
I really like this idea because if it is a core holding then your knowledge base would be deep for that stock. So you are leveraging your deep knowledge for both short and long investing opportunities.
